Doctors

To qualify for D.C. medical cannabis under LMMTI, patients suffering from one (1) or more of the following conditions may be approved for a medical marijuana license: HIV, AIDS, Glaucoma, conditions characterized by severe and persistent muscle spasms, MS, Cancer; or any other condition that is: chronic or long lasting, debilitating ot interferes with the basic functions of life, and a serious medical condition for which the use of medical marijuana is beneficial, that cannot be effectively treated by any ordinary medical or surgical measures. If one or more of these conditions are chronic or debilitating in a nature, a medical marijuana doctor may recommend the affected patient for medical cannabis to address these health problems. A qualified physician must be licensed in good standing to practice medicine or osteopathy in D.C. Doctors must establish a Bona-fide health care physician-patient relationship, including a full assessment of the patient’s history and current medical condition.
